On the Line schools/museum project

I have been undertaking at Hassenbrook School in Stanford le Hope a project that will culminate in a 2 month public exhibition at Chalkwell Hall Southend-on-Sea over the summer. My project will take the form of 2 distinct but inter-related artworks: a display of found objects titled ‘Museum of the Ordinary’ which take imaginative leaps as to what historians of the future will make of our everyday objects that end up in landfill, and a printed wall piece titled ’21 Totems for Mucking’ which symbolises the multiple identities of this location.
